What is Sun Damage?
UVA rays from the sun darken the skin over time and cause your body to produce too much melanin. This results in unsightly brown spots. Most brown spots are the result of sun damage, and studies indicate that the majority of this damage occurs before we turn 18. Nevertheless, the results of this damage fail to show up until middle age.
Treatments for Brown Spots

Obagi Skin Care Products offer a regimen that has been especially formulated to lighten darkened spots on the skin and even out your skin tone.
Chemical peels utilize a chemical solution to remove the outermost layers of your skin and smooth your skin's texture. While peels also improve acne, reduce wrinkles, and decrease the size of your pores, they can be an effective way of improving uneven pigmentation.
Microdermabrasion is a gentle skin resurfacing procedure that exfoliates the top layer of skin and can also reduce the appearance of brown spots.
IPL Photofacial is a type of skin resurfacing that utilizes light-emission therapy. The intense pulses of light are among the best ways to reduce the appearance of freckles, sun damage, and age spots. IPL can also decrease redness, including rosacea. Dr. Stover uses two different IPL lasers, which offers you the best possible result.
Fraxel is another minimally invasive laser treatment that has focuses on the exact areas that need attention. It evens out skin tone, as well as minimizes acne scars, smoothes the texture of your skin, makes your pores smaller.
Active FX, Deep FX, and Total FX – These revolutionary laser treatments are every effective at evening skin tone and reducing the appearance of brown spots. Deep FX targets a deeper layer of skin, and a combination of the two is sometimes employed for multiple skin issues.
