What is involved in the Liposonix procedure?

A treatment takes about one hour and uses high-intensity ultrasound energy to destroy the targeted fat cells permanently. The technology penetrates deeply without causing any damage to your skin. No anesthesia or sedation is required.

The head of the Liposonix ultrasound device is passed over the targeted areas 2-4 times during the treatment. It sometimes feels cold and causes a prickly or tingly feeling that may be mildly uncomfortable.

What should I expect after Liposonix?

The process of losing the fat takes 8-12 weeks after your treatment. As your body naturally heals from the Liposonix body sculpting procedure, the fat cells are eliminated. Most people see results after just one treatment and lose about an inch of fat around the waist and belly.

For about two weeks after your treatment, you can expect some slight bruising, redness, inflammation, and perhaps mild pain. If necessary, you can take over-the-counter pain medication to manage any discomfort you feel.

The discomfort is minimal compared to surgical liposuction, but the results are subtler. You also do not need to wear a compression garment afterward, and you can go back to work immediately.
