Dysport

The Dysport Procedure
Dysport works by inhibiting the release of neurotransmitters from nerves, which reduces muscular activity in the facial muscles that cause wrinkles. Treatment with Dysport is virtually painless. A small sting will be felt at the injection site. Patients can immediately resume normal activities. Some slight bruising may occur, which will quickly fade. The treatment results in a smoothing and softening of the skin and an overall relaxed appearance. Possible side effects include temporary weakness of nearby muscles. The effects of Dysport are completely reversible, so any side effects will be temporary.
Dysport can be used to treat 'dynamic wrinkles,' also known as 'expression lines,' but will not be effective on lines or creases caused by aging or sagging skin.
