What is Deep FX?

Deep FX is a non-surgical procedure for both men and women that rejuvenates the face. While the procedure is non-invasive, it is aggressive enough to provide satisfying results.

Using what are called fractional CO2 micro-beams that target the areas to be treated, Deep FX reaches the deep layers of skin to stimulate your body's own healing response. This causes your body to regenerate tissue and produce new collagen. Since we have more collagen when we are younger, this increased production creates younger looking skin. When targeted by a skilled practitioner like Dr. Stover, it can also reduce the appearance of scars (including acne scars) and even out skin tone.

What makes Deep FX so revolutionary is its precision. It targets only the specific deep layers of skin that need to be treated, leaving the surrounding areas and outer layers of skin intact. This allows your body to heal much faster and easier.

What Can I Expect from Deep FX?

Sometimes called a skin tightening, non-surgical rejuvenation, facial rejuvenation, or skin resurfacing procedure, Deep FX requires little downtime from work or normal activities. Some people experience some redness, inflammation, peeling, and mild discomfort for a few days to a week following treatment. These conditions will subside quickly, after which you will be instructed to use moisturizer and avoid sun exposure.

Dr. Stover recommends intravenous sedation during Deep FX, which ensures your comfort and optimizes treatment. The amount of time required for your procedure depends on the number of areas to be treated, but it generally takes about a half hour. We suggest that you bring someone with you to drive you home so that you can relax after your procedure.

Results are immediate, but improvement will continue for a period of three to four months as the body produces more new collagen. If you take good care of your skin, following Dr. Stover's instructions, the outcome of your Deep FX treatment should last for years.

Other Treatments Combined With Deep FX

Deep FX is often performed at the same time as an.Active FX treatment. This is called Total FX and can produce more satisfying results for many people. Please see the Active FX page for more information about this related procedure. A Total FX treatment takes about an hour.

Deep FX can also be performed with other non-surgical procedures, such as dermal fillers, Botox Cosmetic injections, and more to produce the best possible result.
