Introducing Angelo Cuzalina DDS, MD...

Dr. Cuzalina is board certified by the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery as well as the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is faculty for the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery  review course as well as fellowship director of an approved cosmetic surgery fellowship program where he trains other surgeons in the art of cosmetic surgery.  He has an active practice at the Oklahoma Cosmetic Surgery Center at Tulsa Surgical Arts as well as practicing here on the Big Island with Dr. John Stover.

 Dr. Cuzalina is a native Oklahoman from McAlster, Oklahoma.  During high school, Dr. Cuzalina was a state champion wrestler who attended Oklahoma State University on a wrestling scholarship and obtained a bachelors degree in Physiology.  He made US national Greco-Roman and Freestyle wrestling teams and medaled in World Championships in 1982 and 1985.

Following college, Dr. Cuzalina graduated with Honors and obtained both Medical and Dental degrees.  He then completed and internship in General Surgery prior to finishing a full residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Alabama in Birmingham.  After residency, Dr. Cuzalina went on to complete a Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship in Texas.

Dr. Cuzalina has trained intensively with three former Presidents of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (AACS), and has performed over 5000 cosmetic surgery procedures.  He was elected to the board of trustees for the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and currently serves as Chairman of the Communications Committee for the AACS.  Dr. Cuzalina was also chairman for the National Cosmetic Surgery meeting in Florida in January 2006.

Dr. Cuzalina commonly performs endoscopic breast surgery as well as endoscopic facial cosmetic surgery to provide patients with smaller incisions.  He is frequently faculty for cosmetic breast, body, and facial rejuvenation courses given to other surgeons and has written several textbook chapters on cosmetic surgery for some leading publications.  Some of his recent publications include a book chapter on endoscopic forehead and brow lift surgery, a chapter on facial implants and another on face and neck lifts.  Dr. Cuzalina was recently asked to speak on Endoscopic Breast Augmentation and treatment for the Difficult Sagging Neck at the International Cosmetic Surgery Conference in Paris, France.
