Meet Dr. Stover
Dr. John D. Stover is one of the few triple board certified physicians in the entire state of Hawaii and is one of the state’s top-performing cosmetic surgeons. He is certified by the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology.
Dr. Stover is committed to bringing his patients the very latest technologies and medical advances in cosmetic and aesthetic procedures. Each year, he updates his knowledge with more than 100 hours of training at medical seminars, specialty courses, and symposia. This training ranges across the entire spectrum of facial cosmetic and oral surgery, as well as cosmetic dermatology and advanced laser procedures.
Well-respected in his field as a published researcher, Dr. Stover has earned awards for his papers and presentations which educate other physicians in the industry. He has also been awarded multiple research grants to conduct studies in cosmetic procedures.
Dr. Stover is a member of the American Medical Association, the Hawaii State Medical Society, and the Hawaii County Medical Society, and he is a fellow of both the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
In addition to his accolades as a physician, Dr. Stover was named the 2009 Small Business Person of the Year by the Hawaii Small Business Association and the Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce. He is a past president of the Kona Music Society and now sits on the fundraising committee of the West Hawaii AIDS Foundation.
