Dr. John D. Stover's Education

Dr. John Stover has received multiple degrees and is an M.D., D.D.S., and Ph.D. He received his medical doctor degree in 1995 from the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, where he also completed his residency as an intern. He completed a general surgery residency there as well in 1998, specializing in oral and maxillofacial surgery.

He also served as Assistant Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center from 1998-2001.

Prior to attending medical school, Dr. Stover earned a dentistry degree from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry, and he did his undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree work also at the University of North Carolina. His graduate education began when he earned a Ph.D. in 1993 from the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans.

Dr. Stover is licensed to practice dentistry in Hawaii, North Carolina, and Louisiana, and he is licensed as an M.D. in Hawaii and Louisiana. He is one of the few triple board certified cosmetic surgeons in the state of Hawaii.

Dr. Stover is committed to continuing his education to stay trained and knowledgeable about the latest technologies and medical advances in cosmetic and aesthetic procedures. Each year, he spends more than 100 hours of training at medical seminars, specialty courses, and symposia, studying a wide range of procedures.
