About Us
When Dr. John Stover, D.D.S., M.D., Ph.D., visited Hawaii on vacation, he saw that there were few cosmetic surgery services available on the Big Island. So, he relocated from Louisiana in 2001 and began working for a small two-surgeon practice in Hilo. In 2003, he purchased the business and expanded it to Waimea, followed by an additional expansion into Kona in 2006.
Today, Cosmetic Centers of Hawaii maintains its three locations, offering a wide array of aesthetic treatments and cosmetic surgery procedures. These include:
- Oral and maxillofacial surgery
- Facial and general cosmetic surgery
- Non-surgical cosmetic procedures
- Complete dermatology care
- Spa services
- The most complete laser center in the state.
One of the few triple board certified physicians in the state of Hawaii, Dr. Stover continually updates his knowledge and is a published researcher who has earned awards for his papers and presentations. In 2009, he was named Small Business Person of the Year by the Hawaii Small Business Association and the Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce.
The practice is supported by Dr. Angelo Cuzalina, a plastic surgeon who performs facial, breast, and body procedures; and Marné Carmichael Walsh, M.S., PA-C, who diagnoses and treats a variety of skin conditions.
