If you want to look younger or correct a facial abnormality, a facial surgery procedure may be the answer!
Facial surgery is a wide category that includes a number of procedures to help you look better and improve your self-confidence.
Facial surgeries involve incisions of some kind and usually require at least local anesthesia. In most cases, incisions can be made in areas where any scarring will not be seen, such as behind the hairline or behind the ears.
Here are the facial surgeries offered at Cosmetic Centers of Hawaii:
Eyelid surgery can take years off your appearance and make your eyes look bigger. In this surgery, excess skin is removed and tightened, correcting droopy eyelids. Eye bags under the eyes can also be reduced.
Facelift is a permanent method of tightening the skin of the face and reducing facial wrinkles, making you look years younger. The results are dramatic, as excess skin and fat are removed, and the muscles of the face are tightened.
Mini Facelift is a less invasive type of surgical facelift for people who have one area on the face or neck with minor sagging or droopiness. The time required for both the surgery and the recovery is shorter than after a full facelift.
Liposuction is usually thought of as a treatment for the body, but excess fat can also be removed from the facial area. The most common areas for liposuction are the cheeks and neck. In this procedure, excess fat is suctioned, resulting in smoother and tighter skin.
Nose Reshaping (Rhinoplasty) is one of the most common cosmetic surgery procedures. It can reshape a crooked or misshapen nose, repair a deviated septum, adjust the size of nostrils, and/or remove bumps or depressions in the nose.
Forehead Lift (Brow Lift) is a surgical procedure that decreases sagging skin and muscle in the forehead and eyebrows. It can smooth lines that run across the brows or between the eyes, and it can correct severely sagging eyelids. It can even be used to lower an excessively high forehead.
Neck Lift corrects the loose skin that often develops in the neck during the aging process. Sometimes called "jowls," this excess skin is removed during the neck lift to restore a more youthful appearance to the neck and jaw line. This procedure may also include tightening of the neck muscles, as well as liposuction to remove excess fat.
Lip Augmentation surgery creates fuller lips through the insertion of an implant in the lips, while non-surgical lip augmentation involves injecting a filler to make lips fuller. The advantage of an implant is that it is a permanent solution, while injections must be repeated periodically to maintain the full appearance of the lips.
Cheek augmentation and Chin Implants are synthetic materials which are inserted under the skin of the face to reshape the chin or the cheeks. They can create the appearance of higher cheekbones or correct a receding chin, giving you a stronger jaw line. Many people opt for cheek or chin implants in order to make the face look more symmetrical. In some cases, chin augmentation requires a reconstruction of the chin bone.
Ear Contouring (Otoplasty) is a surgery that corrects ears that protrude or which are malformed.
Each of these surgeries is different, and recovery times vary. Dr. Stover or Dr. Cuzalina will advise you of what you can expect before, during, and after your procedure.
