If you're dissatisfied with your breasts, a breast procedure can help you feel more beautiful and confident!
Today's breast procedures are very safe and advanced, and they are performed every day all over the world. The surgeons at Cosmetic Centers of Hawaii are experienced with all breast procedures.
There are a number of available breast procedures depending on what you want to accomplish.
Breast Lift is a surgical procedure that achieves exactly what it says – it lifts breasts that have begun to sag as a result of aging or pregnancy. In this surgery, any excess skin is removed, and the nipple is sometimes repositioned. Breast size is not increased with a breast lift, but some women opt for a breast augmentation at the same time in order to make their breasts larger as well.
Breast Augmentation is one of today's most popular cosmetic surgical procedures. Implants made of either saline or silicone are placed under the skin and muscle of the breasts to increase their size, improve their shape, or correct asymmetries between the breasts. Breast augmentation is also often performed as a reconstructive technique after breast cancer surgery. Some women have a breast lift procedure at the same time as breast augmentation to not only increase the size of their breasts but to correct sagging breast tissue as well.
Breast Reduction is a procedure to reduce breast size in women who feel that their breasts are too large. Heavy breasts can cause back and shoulder pain or make it difficult to find clothes that fit properly. Breast reduction surgery cannot only reduce the size of the breasts, but it can also reshape and recontour them for a smaller, natural appearance.
Breast Revision is sometimes necessary when something has gone wrong with the initial breast augmentation procedure. It is rarely necessary, but there are occasions when women are unhappy with the size of their breasts after a breast augmentation. In other cases, something can go wrong with an implant, causing one or both breasts to become distorted in shape. Breast revision surgery is highly individualized in order to correct the specific problem.
Male Breast Reduction is surgery for men to correct gynecomastia, a condition that causes men to develop enlarged breasts, usually as part of the aging process. Heredity, medications, certain diseases, or hormonal changes in the body are all potential causes of the condition. In this corrective procedure, the excess skin and fat is removed to restore a masculine appearance to the chest.
The incision areas and recovery times for these surgeries vary. Dr. Stover or Dr. Cuzalina will tell you what you can expect before, during, and after your procedure.
Breast procedures are a safe way to have the breasts you have always wanted.
